This was a Digital storytelling project involving seniors from one of Charter Housing Association's sheltered housing complexes and pupils from Pillgwenlly Primary School, in Newport, South Wales.
Everyone, young and old, developed stories from scriptwriting to final output. I compiled a DVD incorporating verbal evaluations from each of the participants, the school and the warden of the housing complex together with all the participants’ completed stories.
The project ensured digital inclusion not only for the children but also for the adults and, as a result of the project new friendships were forged between the school and the housing complex who together with another school in the area went on to participate in an intergenerational WWII project. The links between the school and the housing complex are continuing with further projects being undertaken.
