I am committed to making the Arts and new media accessible to people of all ages and abilities through a range of community workshops.

My philosophy lies in ensuring that these workshops deliver professional yet simple, accessible arts activities which are fun, with the emphasis placed on promoting the benefits of the Arts on individuals and as a means of community building.

My practice involves a wide range of art forms and incorporate activities within individual projects which can create synergies across diverse art-forms and the people who participate in them. I have a passionate belief in arts activities as a basis for intergenerational integration - encouraging people to communicate and build relationships, to discover their similarities and to embrace their differences.

Ceative boundaries are limited only by the needs and imagination of the participants and the resources available.

What are my Aims?

-To promote the arts and digital inclusion.

- To increase community participation in the arts and attendance at arts events

- To promote the benefits of the Arts and new media on individuals and communities

- To increase opportunities for creative participation in the arts - To provide a transferable skill set for personal advancement and esteem

- To make the arts more accessible to the wider public by using materials and equipment which are universally available, easy to use with minimal training and relatively low cost.

Why do I do it?

 Because I believe that Community arts make a positive and unique contribution to the health and wellbeing of the wider community, and targets social need.

 Artistic activities can be used in ways which provide educational, social and diversionary opportunities and reach out to people who may not have had the opportunity to participate in these activities before. Together individuals share the benefit of new skills, a vision for life and a passion for their community. By focusing on disadvantaged adults and young people a special emphasis is given to those affected by social exclusion.

Providing opportunities for community participation helps to develop projects which are sustainable, building positive community relationships. Enabling individuals and communities to access the arts and new media provides them with opportunities for personal advancement.

How do we achieve this?

Through a range of arts projects in local areas where people live, work and meet. These projects will include: - Creative digital storytelling workshops - arts based workshops – printmaking, painting, collage, photography, digital arts, mosaics, murals, - community events.
